Choose your masochism wisely. Inboard rear-brakes versus hydropneumatic suspension.

Vintage Jag or Citröen DS? These two examples are at the same price point (depending upon exchange rates.)

The Jaguar looks nice but it seems to be sold. And the Citroën looks really nice too but it isn’t a DS but a D Super which means that it’s actually an ID model. It has nearly identical hydropneumatic suspension but regular brakes and some other ID specific stuff.

And it seems to have received an LPG conversion. I think that LPG conversions done in Netherlands usually run with gasoline too but not always very well.

That was the best model I could find at the same price point. If I hunted more I could have found a proper Pallas.

They were quite common cars but most were scrapped very early. Rust doesn’t treat them very kindly and the hydraulic system also causes plenty of issues.

I could find only one DS for sale in Finland. Looks nice but it isn’t cheap either (€24,900). It has some hidden upgrades such as seat heaters (it’s cold here...).

One D Super is also available for €10,900 but it’s not as clean as the DS.
